Q+A with Lacuna’s Magik Street

Tell us what makes your business different from other wedding companies?

Magik Street by LM is Chicago's newest intimate event venue — and it's unlike anything else in the city. Backed by LM Catering & Events, you're not just renting a space; you have a full team supporting you from planning through the last dance. Our open kitchen concept means food is prepared and served in real time, turning the meal itself into part of the show.

What is your favorite trend for weddings currently?

Intimate, intentional celebrations. Couples are ditching the ballroom and choosing spaces with real character; moody lighting, a restored bar, indoor/outdoor spaces strung with warm lights. Magik Street was built for exactly that couple.

What sets your brand or business apart?

LM’s culinary team crafts every menu in-house, the space has a distinct, design-forward aesthetic, and our events team is with you every step of the way. It's full-service hospitality in a venue that actually has personality.

And the experience itself is truly one-of-a-kind — our open kitchen concept means your menu comes to life in real time, turning the meal into part of the show. Add in our outdoor private patio with warm hanging lights, a private room, and private bar, and you have a space that feels curated, not cookie-cutter. Where magik happens.

What big news do you want to share?

Magik Street by LM is officially open for bookings. If you've been dreaming of something a little different for your wedding celebration, this is your sign.

Who is Magik Street by LM perfect for?

Magik Street by LM is for couples who think outside the box. The ones who want their guests talking about the food, the vibe, and the space long after the night is over. With room for up to 70 for an intimate seated dinner or 150 for a cocktail celebration, we're ideal for elopements, micro-weddings, welcome parties, showers, and rehearsal dinners. Not for everyone — and that's exactly the point.
